DESCRIPTION The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Oklahoma VA Health Care System is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support this requirement for CEILING MOUNTED PATIENT LIFTS for the Oklahoma VA Health Care System located at 921 NE 13th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 423450 Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers; SBA Size Standard 200 Employees. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a solicitation. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Contractor shall provide all labor, parts, supplies and equipment necessary to perform CEILING MOUNTED PATIENT LIFTS. Services shall include but are not limited to the following: Objective: Furnish qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and services necessary to install ceiling mounted patient lifts. Ceiling mounted lifts must be able to have an X/Y axis and ability to transfer from one room to another room such as from patient room into patient bathroom without transfer of patient into an additional device. American manufacturing is requested, pursuant to the Buy American Act. Performance Requirements A. The overhead mounted patient lifts provided by the contractor shall meet all lift safety codes, national electrical codes, National Fire Protection Association codes and all other applicable federal, state, and local codes. Tracks must provide X/Y coverage (full room coverage) in each room selected for lift installation to provide lifting assistance throughout the entire room. The contractor shall be responsible for installing all lifts without relocation of lights, HVAC grills, curtain tracks, IV tracks and sprinkler heads. Additional requirements include but are not limited to the following: - Entire lift system (not just the charger) should be UL-listed and a certificate of such presented for review. Provide equipment information for each unit like pictures of the different slings, tool kit for easy use of the equipment, and any other pertinent information on equipment. - Disclosure of all Tort claims against vendor either pending or resolved regarding proposed system. - Disclosure of history of all recalls - Education/Training Plan for Bio-Medical Engineer and employees The Period of Performance for this requirement is Four (4) months, beginning at date of award.
