NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and it s not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 07, Dublin VA Medical Center, 1826 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source requirement under FAR Part 13.5 and is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement. Only one responsible Available Source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency requirement. This notice satisfies the posting requirements at FAR Part 5.101. The intended contractor is Iradimed Corporation, 12705 Ingenuity Drive, Orlando, FL, 32826. Place of performance and delivery is Charleston VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC, 29401. This contract is to purchase of MRidium 3870 MRI Infusion Pump System for Charleston VAMC. Training services shall be performed by manufacturer to train all Charleston VAMC employees in the Radiology department. Iradimed Corporation has confirmed that Iradimed Corporation is the sole manufacturer and seller of the 3870 MRI Infusion System for accessories and the sole source for parts of the MRI Infusion Pump system, due to proprietary reasons Iradimed Corporation is the only manufacturer of a non-magnetic MRI compatible IV infusion pump on the market. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument the Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6515 -Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies.
