This Sources Sought Notice is intended for information and planning purposes only at this time; and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Because this is a Sources Sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists. Therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing Brand Name Only Arjo Patient Lifts. The system will be delivered to the Mercer CBOC, located at 1505 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, PA 16148. STATEMENT OF NEED GENERAL: The Mercer Community Based Outreach Center (CBOC) within the VA Butler Health Care System has a requirement for powered portable Patient Lifts to be utilized throughout the Mercer CBOC, located at 1505 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, PA 16148. VA Butler Health Care is requesting procurement for items peculiar to one manufacturer for the two equipment items noted below, manufactured by ARJO, Inc. as the OEM. Items Product # Quantity Maxi Move with Scale, Low-Height Castors, Medium Powered DPS KMCLUN-D 1 SARA Plus with Scale, powered HEP1001-US 1 SCOPE: The VA Butler Health Care System and the Mercer CBOC are requesting a Name Brand Only equipment purchase that must meet and/or exceed the functional and physical requirements in accordance with (IAW) the Safe and Patient Handling and Mobility Program. This program is in place to facilitate safe patient transfers (lateral and vertical), repositioning, examination, mobility, and transport. The requirement is that the patient lift movers must be powered to enable the staff the ability to transfer patients from a sit-to-stand position and/or be able to transfer and reposition patients. PURPOSE: Portable patient lifts are to be used to assist caregivers in transitioning patients with limited mobility, such as transfers from a bed, chair, other mobility devices and potentially transport vehicles. Patient movers are a crucial piece of equipment for delivering direct patient care to veterans within the CBOC to protect from falls, but the equipment is also highly efficient in preventing injury to VA healthcare workers by managing the challenging daily patient or resident transfer and repositioning tasks, to include assisting with balance, gait training and stepping assistance. INSTALLLATION AND TRAINING: The Contractor shall provide a one-time in-person training at the time of or within 10 calendar days of the delivery of the equipment. No additional training should be required. TRAINING AND ORIENTATION: Once the equipment has been inspected and fully received, VA Butler Health Care facility coordinators will provide education and training to the appropriate healthcare personnel at the CBOC. EQUIPMENT WARRANTY: The government requires the standard manufacturer industry warranty term. DELIVERY: Required delivery date is not before October 1 3, 2025. The exact delivery date is to be coordinated between the awarded vendor and the VA Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), two weeks prior to delivery. Any equipment to be delivered that has not been coordinated with the POC will not be accepted at the delivery time.
