As part of the care for the Veteran Debriding with Vacuum Foot Drill is part of the care needed by the Podiatry Service. Background /Objective This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for obtaining Podiatry replacement for vacuum /drills needed in the Podiatry Clinic. The debriding system utilizes a vacuum attached to a foot drill for patients requiring this type of treatment. The use of the vacuum foot drill is intended to debride callous and other hard tissue, and to shape toenails during therapeutic procedures. The debriding services are necessary to address specific medical conditions and improve patient well-being. REQUIREMENT/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/SPECIFICATIONS Common Nomenclature (commercial description): HAND DRILLS: FOOT CARE Description: Brand Name or equal to Pro Vac File Debriding Drill with Vacuum features a 40,000-rpm motor with variable and reversible speed control for quick debriding. Integral vacuum handpiece captures debris and deposits it into replaceable HEPA vacuum filter bag inside the base unit. Lightweight handpiece with push/pull automatic locking chuck that eliminates the need for wrenches or twisting when changing tools. Includes on/off foot control. Uses standard 3/32" burs.
