A power supply unit (quantity 1) is required, with delivery FOB origin. The government cannot obtain the data rights or knowledge needed to purchase or repair this part from alternate sources and has determined that acquiring the data or rights or reverse engineering it is uneconomical. Documentation and standards are available through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online; most documents are downloadable as PDFs, and some items must be ordered via the ASSIST system after creating a DODSSP account.

The action is intended as a sole-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1, with the government negotiating only with one source.
