Summary

AI-generated · Oct 09, 2025

Market research is being conducted to identify entities capable of supplying the WIRING, HARNESS BRANCH for F-16 aircraft. This is a voluntary capability inquiry with no solicitation issued at this time; responses should include basic organizational data and a tailored capability statement showing ability to perform similar work, including any anticipated subcontracting or teaming arrangements. The information collected will help determine procurement strategy and whether the eventual award will be set aside for small businesses or pursued as full and open competition, potentially resulting in multiple awards.

Total small-business set-aside IQC for the same WIRING, HARNESS BRANCH item is planned, with a five-year base and no option. Key terms include delivery in 225 days to any CONUS facility, an estimated annual demand of 22 units, a guaranteed minimum, export-control and higher-level quality requirements with government first article testing, and FOB Origin with Inspection/Acceptance Destination for DLA Direct. Proposals must be submitted to a Bid Custodian (electronic submissions via DIBBS are not used), and the RFP will be available on DIBBS; a reverse auction may be conducted, with Procurex tutorials available for bidders. This marks a shift from the initial market research to a formal, small-business–led solicitation with defined contract parameters.
