Summary

AI-generated · Aug 25, 2025

Repair/modify or acquire a flight-critical intercommunication control unit (NSN 7R-5831-016265909-P8, TDP VER 001) in quantity 6, delivered FOB origin. The government states that essential data and specifications are not physically available and cannot be drafted for a competitive solicitation, so source approval is required prior to award. Only previously approved sources will be solicited, and new sources must submit the information described in NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures (separate brochures exist for spares vs. repair). If a source approval request is already under NAVSUP WSS review, include the relevant cover letter with the proposal.

This action is being pursued as a single-source award under FAR 6.302-1; however, interested parties may identify their capability to respond. Proposals or capability statements must include all required source-approval data or risk not being considered. If approvals cannot be processed in time, the government may proceed to award to meet Fleet support needs. The notice references NAVSUP WSS sources for the approval process and DoDSSP/ASSIST for documentation, with a 45-day (or 30-day if under an existing BOA) window for responses. Award will be made only if the offeror and product meet the qualification requirements in FAR 52.209-1; interested parties may express interest within 15 days.
