Semi-instantaneous Hot Water Heater SCOPE OF WORK: The James H. Quillen VAMC has two vertical Semi-instantaneous V8SEH830DW Cemline hot water heaters in building 005 that have failed and require replacement. The replacement systems shall meet precise measurements to function within the existing space and maintain all safety requirements of the facility. Item: Hot Water Heaters Building service equipment Essential/significant physical, functional, or performance characteristics. Semi-instantaneous Vertical hot water heater will be factory assembled and packaged. The heater shall be fabricated in accordance with ASME code and stamped for 150 psi working pressure. The packaged water heater will be constructed with a Stainless-steel tank and Stainless-steel threaded openings. Heater will be mounted on a steel support skid and will have lifting lugs. Heater will be insulated with foam insulation and protected by an enameled metal jacket, 20-gauge thickness. Standard Specifications must meet or exceed: Water Heater will be factory assembled and piped including: 1. Incoming steam strainer 2. Electric operated temperature regulators 3. Main and auxiliary float and thermostatic steam traps 4. Double wall, copper tubes, copper lined tank side/steel head side tube sheet and cast-iron steam chamber. 5. Intra tank circulator. 6. ASME pressure- temperature relief valve. 7. Water pressure gauge and steam pressure gauge. 8. Solid State Control module that includes the following functions with individual pilot lights: On-off switch, remote start-stop, alarm horn with alarm silence button, power on, primary high limit, and secondary high limit. Module will have built in PID Control signal with LED display of set point and operating temperature read out and contacts for BACnet and Computrol Compatible (Front -End capability). 9. Double solenoid safety system. 10. Vacuum Breaker. 11. Water Heater shall be rated to heat 27 G.P.M. of water from 40 F. to 140 F. and control the outlet within 5 degrees of the selected temperature when supplied with 15 PSIG of saturated steam to the control valve. 12. Heater will be mounted vertically. 13. One-year warranty on provided components PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Delivery is expected as soon as possible after receipt of award SUPPORTING INFORMATION: Place of Performance James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, BLDG 205 WAREHOUSE, Veterans Way & Lamont St., Mountain Home, TN 37684. Scheduling Delivery shall be performed during regular business hours, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for Federal Holidays. Evening, night, and weekend delivery may be required as circumstances dictate and are not acceptable unless approved by the Contracting Officer only. A VA representative must be present to receive order at the delivery location.
