The requirement includes a trade-in applied for the return of the original Laser NUX20. Market research documents the NuTrace NUX20ng Fiber Laser is first laser in the world exclusively designed for the Sterile Processing Department, enabling them to quickly and inexpensively, mark surgical instruments. The NuTrace NUX-20 NG is uniquely designed and capable of being the only product on the market specifically for Sterile Processing Departments (SPD) as a compact, Class 1/4 laser that can mark complex, long instruments (e.g., Da Vinci) without opening doors, while offering integrated acid-free,, instant passivation. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 332812 with a Small Business Size Standard of 600 Employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Contracting Officer. Such responses MUST be received no later than Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirement listed to forward responses by e-mail to Joseph Locke, Contracting Officer, joseph.locke@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete with the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 7, will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued.
