2026 Southern Hemisphere Influenza Vaccine SPE2DP25R0004
Summary
AI-generated · Aug 25, 2025For the 2026 season, the DLA Troop Support is seeking sources capable of supplying a trivalent Southern Hemisphere influenza vaccine that is FDA-licensed and ACIP-recommended for active immunization in individuals aged 6 months and older. Each dose must be 0.5 mL, pre-filled in a commercially available syringe for intramuscular use, free of thimerosal or other preservatives, and delivered refrigerated at 2–8 C (not frozen). Packaging is one unit of issue containing 10 pre-filled syringes, with the vaccine destined for delivery to a Defense Distribution Center in Susquehanna, PA, by mid-March 2026. The government anticipates an annual requirement of about 60,000 doses, though quantities may rise or fall with service needs. This is a market-information request (RFI) to inform planning; responses will be confidential and no commitment to a solicitation or award is made.
The formal presolicitation defines a potential indefinite-quantity contract for the 2026-2027 season, approximately 60,000 doses, with delivery to Defense Depot New Cumberland, PA by March 16, 2026, and a minimum/maximum ordering framework (minimum 75% of the annual estimate, maximum 150%). NSNs will be established at award. The contract would cover 100% of requirements by the stated date, with the posting on DIBBS and SAM.gov and inquiries directed to the contracting office. Changes since the RFIs include a defined procurement path, a different delivery depot, and binding quantity ranges and delivery deadlines, alongside the ongoing market-information responses that sought data on current products, capacity, pricing, storage, API origin, distributors, and development status.
