Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Repair/modification of a turbine aircraft component (65 each) required, delivery FOB origin. Requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to ensure part quality; only approved sources with the necessary design, engineering, and repair knowledge and data rights may provide the item since the data are not economically available to the Government. An alternate source must qualify under procedures approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity, and those procedures must be approved by that activity. Because the item is flight-critical and/or data adequacy for open competition is lacking, Government source approval is required prior to award; only previously approved sources have been solicited. If you are not approved, you must submit with your proposal the information specified in NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure (Spare) or (Repair).

If new source approval cannot be processed in time, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs. This is a sole-source action under FAR 6.302-1; however, all responsible sources may identify interest and capability. Proposals within 45 days (30 days if awarded under an existing BOA) will be considered. Information on source-approval brochures and related standards can be obtained from NAVSUP WSS; documents are available through ASSIST-Online and the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP). Interested parties may contact the contracting officer within 15 days if they can satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.
