Summary

AI-generated · Nov 27, 2025

Lightplate assembly (one unit) is a commercial off-the-shelf item that must be bought with prior Government source approval because it is flight critical and/or the technical data is not adequate for full and open competition. Only pre-approved sources are being solicited; if you are not approved, you must submit the information required by NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochures with your proposal (spares or repair data as applicable). If the source approval is still under evaluation, the Government may still award to meet fleet needs.

The action is intended as a sole-source purchase under FAR 6.302-1, with proposals from all capable sources welcome but the Government does not plan competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest within the required period (45 days, or 30 days if issued under an existing BOA). Award depends on meeting the qualification requirements per FAR 52.209-1, and may involve Buy American/Free Trade Agreements or Trade Agreement clauses depending on the solicitation.
