This announcement constitutes only the pre-solicitation notice; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or around 30 June 2011. Solicitation number FA4600-11-B-0004 is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB). This is a STRADDLE B - Repair Mass Notification/Fire Alarm B324, SGBP 09-0053. Offeror should note funds are reasonably assured for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-51. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, and the small business size standard is $33.5M; this will be set-aside Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The solicitation will include a base bid and one bid additive.The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a period of performance (POP) of 240 days to provide for the base bid of the following project: Provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, material, and other items and services necessary to install a new mass notification and fire alarm system in areas A and B of B324. The additive of the contract would be a POP of an additional 125 days to provide the following: all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, material and other items and services necessary to intall a new mass notification and fire alarm system in area C of B324.
