Roadside_Brushing_Black_Hills_National_Forest
Summary
The Black Hills National Forest has a roadside brushing contract opportunity on Northern Hills Ranger District. The work consists of clearing and processing all brush and woody vegetative material including unmerchantable trees, limbs, roadside brush, and hazard or unstable live trees, within designated areas on designated Forest Service roadways. Mechanized equipment may be used to do the majority of clearing, although some chainsaw and hand pruning may be required to accomplish finish work and limbing. It is anticipated to have approximately 35.1 miles on the base item with approximately 40.8 miles for the first option and 26.1 miles for the second option, all work to be completed within 365 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. It is anticipated that the project will not be started until October 1, 2011. This contract opportunity is a total small business set-aside.
