K--modification of equipment
Summary
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, intends to issue a Solicitation for support for hull, mechanical, electrical and electronic (HME&E) system alterations on surface ships, submarines, other waterborne craft and shore-based commands for the U.S. Navy and other Federal agencies, to include support for all phases of the alteration installation process, including planning, fabrication, installation and evaluation, for prototype, proof-in and production installations of new systems, alterations and modifications to HME&E systems. The Solicitation is expected to result in one or more indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract(s) providing for the issuance of delivery orders during a five-year period starting on the date of contract award. An estimated total of 9,499,995 hours of direct labor are expected to be required in the performance of the contract(s). Similar work has been performed by the following contractors und! er the following previous contracts: N65540-01-D-0025 (AMSEC); N65540-01-D-0026 (QED); N65540-02-D-0041 (Anteon); and N65540-02-D-0042 (AMSEC). Offerors will be required to submit technical and cost proposals. Award will be made to the offeror(s) with proposal(s) representing the best value to the Government. The Solicitation is expected to be released on or about 01-March-2007. Solicitation packages will only be available electronically and no hard copies will be sent. The NAICS for this work is 336611. This procurement will be unrestricted. All interested parties may download the solicitation and any amendments at http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbizopps.gov after the release date of the solicitation.
