INDUSTRY DAY FOR AMRDEC SYSTEMS, SIMULATION, SOFTWARE AND INTEGRATION (S3I) DIRECTORATE

Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center's System, Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate is pleased to announce the S3I Industry Day at the Jackson Center, 6001 Moquin Dr, NW., Huntsville, AL 35806, on 20 September 2018 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM CST. Doors open at 8:30AM CST. Pre-registration is required. Use the following link to register: https://goo.gl/forms/QUOc95ull6xn5NYZ2. Registration will close at 5:00PM CST on Thursday, September 6, 2018. No walk-ins or late registrations will be accepted. Any registration questions should be directed to Chandra Tallman via email at [email protected]. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. S3I will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.

The purpose of this amendment is to provide a response to a question received from Industry: 1. Question: Can S3I provide some more details or an agenda of the AMRDEC S3I Industry Day and the topics planned for the day? S3I Response: The S3I Industry Day will provide an overview of the current S3I transformation. Details of the S3I future procurement strategy and subsequent implementation will also be provided.

S3I Response: No. Presentations will not be provided prior to the event. The response date for this RFI closed on 5:00PM CST on Thursday, September 6, 2018. This amendment is for informational purposes only and does not extend the response date.

The purpose of this fourth amendment is to provide a response to a question received from Industry: 1. Question: During the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Industry Day held on 20 SEP 2018 at the Jackson Center, S3I leadership briefed their Proposed Future Contract Strategy for Business Support services in the Business & Analytical or Programmatics Domain using the NAICS Code 541330, Engineering Services. Will the Government re-consider its acquisition strategy and change the NAICS for this opportunity to 541611? S3I Response: The NAICS for Business Support services in the Business & Analytical or Programmatics Domain was inadvertently identified as 541330 in lieu of 541611. The current strategy for Business Support services will be solicited in either the B&A or Programmatic domain of EXPRESS, which carries a NAICS code of 541611. This is based upon preliminary market research and all future acquisitions will be based upon final definition of the requirements and the results from market research. The NAICS code for any resultant acquisition is subject to change upon definition of final requirements.

The purpose of this fifth amendment is to provide a response to a question received from Industry: 1. Question: Can you clarify if there are going to be additional Industry Days in support of the AMRDEC S3I program? S3I Response: AMRDEC S3I will be as transparent and forthcoming with industry as possible in this process; however, exact details about any future Industry Days cannot be provided at this time. Details will be provided about any opportunities as soon as practical. Federal Business Opportunities will serve as the official means of communication from S3I to Industry regarding any upcoming events or requirements.
