Summary
The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct Market Research to determine if responsible sources exist. The government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for procurement. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. Please advise that it is not to be construed as commitment by the government, implied, or otherwise to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The U.S. Forest Service, Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests, Enoree Ranger District is seeking qualified sources to provide rental equipment of the type described below or of similar capabilities and capacities. This is for equipment rental only, no operator. 1) One CAT D6 Hi-Track Dozer with 6-way blade to be rented for two months beginning 19 June 2017. Delivery and pick up location will be on Judy Barnes Road, Newberry, SC. Exact coordinates will be provided to the Awardee of the resultant contract. 2) One CAT 320C Series Excavator with a thumb to be rented for two months beginning 6 July 2017. Delivery and pick up location will be the Dunaway WMA near Carlisle, SC. Exact coordinates will be provided to the Awardee of the resultant contract. 3) One CAT 320C Series Excavator with a thumb to be rented for one month beginning 6 July 2017. Delivery and pick up location will be the Dunaway WMA near Carlisle, SC. Exact coordinates will be provided to the Awardee of the resultant contract. Depending on the response of this sources sought, a solicitation may or may not be extended. If a solicitation is extended, Offerors must be active in the System for Award Management, www.sam.gov, to be eligible for the resulting contract. This solicitation is in response to the sources sought under the same solicitation number.
