A--Developing and Testing a Robust, Multi-Scale Framework for the Recovery of Longleaf Pine Communities.
Summary
A cost-reimbursement contract to the University of Washington-Madison to complete the remaining 3 years of contract work that was begun by the University of Washington under Contract No. W912HQ-09-C-0032. Contract No. W912HQ-09-C-0032 will be terminated for the convenience of the Government as a result of the fact that the Principal Investigator and other members of the research team for this project have left the University of Washington and have assumed positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Government needs the Principal Investigator and other members of the team to complete this project because it involves original research proposed by the PI and his team and the Government will not realize the benefit of the proposed work unless it is completed. It is necessary because numerous military installations in the Southeast need the outcomes of the research to help manage their natural resource assets in a sustainable manner to support both mission and stewardship requirements.
