54 -- U.S. Capitol Building Roof Fall Protection
Summary
The Architect of the Capitol is soliciting proposals for a project to improve the roof fall protection system on the U.S. Capitol Building. This contract calls for the fabrication and delivery of the structural stainless steel assemblies (stanchions and tubes) per our design and specifications. Refer to engineered plans for exact number and types of assemblies. The assemblies will be used for Horizontal Life Line Systems for painters and window cleaners using scaffolding. The HLL System will be purchased through the phase II contract. This solicitation will be available in hard copy or electronically on or by January 18, 2008. Requests for hard copy must be made to [email protected] or (202) 266-1947. The solicitation is available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. Interested parties are encouraged to download the electronic version, as this will eliminate lost time incurred when a hard copy of the solicitation is mailed.
