10--ADVANCED GUN SYSTEM (AGS) FOR DD(X)

The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the continuation of design, development, test, and procurement of long lead-time material and assemblies for the Advanced Gun System (AGS), including the fully automated gun and magazine and the Long Range Land Attack Projectile (LRLAP), in support of the DD(X) Program. This requirement will be solicited from the sole designer and developer of the AGS, the current developer and test coordinator for LRLAP and the sole producer of major caliber naval gun systems, United Defense L.P., Armament Systems Division, 4800 East River Road, Minneapolis, MN 55421. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil.
